The product is non-flammable, fast drying and solvent free adhesive used for interior installations wooden floors. The product is easy applicable and has good elasticity in order to resist to hygrometric movement of the wood and thermal expansion of substrate. Due to content of special additives the product is resistant to bacteria and mold.

Application Procedure
Preparation of the substrate
The substrates must be cured and sufficiently dry, mechanically strong, free from loose particles, grease, oils, paint, wax, etc. The cement substrates must not be subject to shrinkage after installing the wood. The moisture content of the screed must be lower than the maximum prescribed by the parquet manufacturer. It is necessary to check moisture content throughout the entire thickness of the substrate, using a carbide hygrometer. During spring and summer, renders must be cured for at least one week for every centimeter of thickness, and cement screeds must be cured for at least 28 days unless they have been made with DCI special binders for screeds such as Screed 80, Level S10, or with Level S30. In case of floating screeds over insulation or light weight layers and slabs on grade must be provided with a vapour barrier to prevent rising damp.
Preparing the product
The two components of DCI Parquet 2K EP are supplied in separate pre-dosed buckets:
· component A: 8 parts by weight;
· component B: 2 part by weight.
Mix the two components with a mechanical mixer until a uniform coloured paste is formed. The setting time and workability time in the bucket are highly dependent on the environmental temperature.
Applying the product
Apply DCI Parquet 2K EP to the substrate using a notched trowel suitable to the format. The open time of the product is maximum 30 minutes under normal temperature and humidity conditions, which must be taken into consideration when spreading the adhesive. If a skin forms, the adhesive must be removed and replaced.
Installing the tiles
The parquet to be installed has to be stored in a dry area, on shelter and not to be subject to vapour condensation. The parquet must be insulated from the ground. Before installing, check that the moisture level in the wood and the ambient humidity are as prescribed by the manufacturer. Press the wood parquet firmly into the wet DCI Parquet 2K EP to ensure good contact. When installing the parquet leave an expansion joint of approximately 1 cm around the perimetral, columns, and any elements crossing the floor. Do not bond edges of wood strips together.
