PU ANCHOR may be used for filling joints, cracks and gaps of any size as, once hardened, it forms a plastic mass which is easily deformable. The bead of PU ANCHOR may be exposed to rain immediately after application, the product is not prone to leaching and does not dissolve in water. It also bonds to most substrates such as cementitious materials, wood, bricks, metals and many varieties of plastics. Thanks to the high bond and flexibility of the product, the bond is possible also in case of damp or wet substrate at the moment of application.
Product Description
Field of Application
PU Anchor is a one-component, rigid, polyurethane adhesive used to bond construction features on building sites. PU Anchor is characterized by high final pull-off strength and very short hardening times. It is recommended, therefore, for structural bonds where a strong final bond and a high level of rigidity are required. It is compatible with most absorbent and non-absorbent building materials, including damp materials. Its rapid polymerization makes PU Anchor a highly versatile product when constructing and assembling components and features used in the building sector and in industry and can be used to replace or integrate traditional mechanical fasteners. It is suitable for bonding internal and external window ledges, balconies, sills, skirting, wooden flooring, wooden and plastic cable trunking, insulating and soundproofing panels, pantile roofing tiles, dressings around doors, panelling and prefabricated elements.

Application Procedure
Preparation of substrate
Surfaces to be sealed must be dry, de-greased, solid and free of dust, loose parts, oil, grease, wax, old paintwork and rust on metal surfaces. We recommend applying masking tape along the edges of the joint in order to avoid the sealant seeping out of the joint and to get a more attractive finish.
Preparing the product
Ready to be used.
Applying the product
Insert the cartridge in an extrusion gun, cut off the tip of the cartridge, screw on the extrusion nozzle, trim the nozzle at an angle of 45° and according to the extruded width required and squeeze out the product in a continuous flow into the joint while trying to avoid air entering the joint. Immediately after applying the sealant, smooth over the surface before it hardens with a spatula wetted with soap and water. Remove the masking tape immediately after smoothing over the sealant
