Product Description

Tile Adhesive Primeris a one-component adhesion primer based on acrylic resins. It is used to prepare smooth, absorbent, and non-absorbent substrates before applying the tile adhesive products as DCI 070, DCI 077, DCI 090, DCI 100, DCI 200, DCI 300, DCI 400, etc.

Field of Application

• For treating gypsum surfaces before installing waterproofing products.

• As an anchoring coat for gypsum-based spray plasters.

• To improve bonding of smoothing compounds on cementations or anhydrite and gypsum-based surfaces.

• To provide uniform absorption in cementations or gypsum surfaces.

COVERAGE / CONSUMPTION

The consumption of TILE ADHESIVE PRIMER depends on the porosity and absorption of the surface. Typical consumption is between 100 and 200 gr/m².

Application Procedure

Applying the product

Stir the TILE ADHESIVE PRIMER before use; spread it uniformly on the surface with a flat brush or roller without diluting it. If the gypsum plaster surface is particularly smooth and glossy, it is recommended to rub it beforehand. Once it has dried, install the tiles.

Preparation of substrate

The substrate should be dry, clean, and free from grease, oils, residual paint, and other loose material. In each case, the manufacturer’s recommendations for gypsum-plaster must be followed, particularly as far as moisture content and level of surface finishing are concerned. Cracks in concrete surfaces must be repaired with Epoinject. Anhydrite surfaces must be sandpapered.
